Bullet-shooting crossbow

Under a Balester ( ball catch, ball crossbow ) refers to a medieval, light crossbow, which was mainly used for bird hunting.

Description

In contrast to conventional crossbow used as projectiles no bolts but spheres. Hence also the designation ball crossbow or ball catch. The clay pellets usually used for bird hunting are called Schusser. A version of Balester is the fire crossbow.
