Geography

The County is located in the east of Georgia, is located in the southeast about 80 km from the Atlantic Ocean in the east about 40 km from the neighboring state of South Carolina. History

Bulloch County was formed on February 8, 1796 as the 21st county in Georgia territory. It was named for Archibald Bulloch, the first territorial governor of Georgia.
