Bang

Bulu (also Boulou ) is spoken in Cameroon Bantu language of the Bulu ethnic group.

It is used by about 858,000 people (about 4.5% of the population) spoken as a native language and by about 800,000 people as a second language ( census 2007).

The importance Bulus as education, religion and language of commerce today is increasingly slower. It is written in the Latin script.

Dissemination

Bulu is distributed in the districts of Dja -et- Lobo and Vallée- du- Ntem in the province of Sud, the District of Nyong -et- Mfoumou Centre in the province and the district of Haut- Nyong in the province Est

The President of Cameroon Paul Biya is a Bulu.

Classification

Bulu is a Northwest Bantu language and is part of the Yaunde - fishing group that is classified as Guthrie Zone A70.

It has the dialects Yelinda, Yembana, Yengono, Zaman and Bene.
