Bundaberg
Bundaberg is a city in the Australian state of Queensland and is located near the eastern coast about 380 kilometers north of Brisbane on the Burnett River. It is the seat of the same local government area ( LGA) Bundaberg Regional Council.
Bundaberg was established in 1870 and has about 47 000 inhabitants. The city became a commercial center for the surrounding sugar cane plantations and still lives to a great extent by the sugar industry. Well-known product is the Bundaberg Rum
Great importance has also tourism. The city is also the "gateway to the Great Barrier Reef " because it is the ideal starting point for trips to the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef.
