Bundenthal

Bundenthal is a municipality in the southwest, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Dahn, which has its headquarters in the town of Dahn. Bundenthal is a nationally recognized tourist.

Geographical location

Bundenthal located in Dahn, a part of the Palatinate Forest in the Palatinate region.

History

The place Bundenthal is first mentioned in a document of Emperor Ludwig of Bavaria from September 22, 1342 as " Wuntental ". The local government had in 1648 held the taverns of Waldburg until the French Revolution. The district Finster home, which was incorporated in 1976, is first mentioned in a contract between the Counts Walraff of Zweibrücken and the Abbot Eberhard of White Castle.

On June 7, 1969 Bundenthal lost its independence when it was united in the course of administrative reform with Bruchweiler Bear creek to the new community meadow Kaiserslautern. After protests of meadow population Kaiserslautern was dissolved on June 17, 1989 by state law and Bundenthal independent again.

Religion
