The term Chancellery stands for the authority to assist a chancellor in his work - or for the building, which is the seat of the Authority and the Registrar.
In particular, this applies to:
- The Federal Chancellery, the Federal Republic of Germany, the federal agency, see Federal Chancellery ( Germany ) Headquartered in Berlin (since 2001 ), see Chancellor's Office (Berlin)
- Its former headquarters in Berlin (1999-2001), see Council of State building
- Its former headquarters in Bonn (1976-1999), see Federal Chancellery ( Bonn)
- Its former headquarters in Bonn (1949-1976) and since 1976, second seat, see Palais Schaumburg
- Thereof, and the Chancellor of the North German Confederation and the Chancellor of the German Empire 's seat, see Reich Chancellery and their new building from 1938, see New Reich Chancellery
