The Federal Highway 99 ( Abbreviation: B 99 ) is a federal road in Germany. It begins in Zittau on the B96 and ends in Görlitz on the B 6

History

The National Highway 99 in 1934 of Zittau on Goerlitz ( R 6), Rothenburg / Upper Lusatia, Lodenau, Freiwaldau and Sagan (R 122) set up by Neusalz to R 5.

1945, the section east of the Oder - Neisse border in the Polish road system has been integrated. The section of Görlitz to the border was downgraded. 1949 named the GDR, the imperial roads to their field in highways. Thus, the route was designated F 99

With the German reunification in 1990, the route was designated B 99 In the course of building the ring road of Gorlitz ( Federal Highway 6), the course of the range extended. Now take you (as of 2011 ) of the bride and Wiesenplatz north through the city until it encounters the B 6.
