Bundeswehr Technical and Airworthiness Center for Aircraft

The Bundeswehr Technical Center for aircraft - Airworthiness for aviation equipment of the Bundeswehr ( WTD 61) was established on 1 October 1957 as a test site 61 and is based in Manching near Ingolstadt. She is responsible for the testing, sample testing and for type certification of aeronautical equipment for the armed forces. WTD 61 is part of the portfolio of the Federal Office for equipment, information technology and use of the Bundeswehr.
