Bundle of Kent

The Kent bundle ( after the British physiologist Albert Frank Stanley Kent, 1863-1958 ) is an accessory connecting at different points between atrial and ventricle with a higher conduction velocity than the AV node. It can cause premature excitation of parts of the ventricular muscle, which can lead to characteristic ECG changes ( Wolff- Parkinson -White syndrome ).
