Bung Khla District

Geography
The Bueng Kan province is located about 615 kilometers northeast of Bangkok along the Mekong River, which is here the border to Laos.
Amphoe Bung Khla borders the following counties (from the south clockwise ) to the Amphoe Bueng Khong Long, Seka and Bueng Kan in Nong Khai province. To the east lies on the opposite bank of the Mekong River, the province Bolikhamsai of Laos.
The Phu Wua Wildlife Reserve is located in the county.
History
Bung Khla was on 1 April 1991 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by its territory was separated from Amphoe Bueng Kan. On 5 December 1996 he was promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Bung Khla is in three communities ( tambon) divided, in turn, in 25 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
