Buni culture

The Buni culture is a hitherto little-known prehistoric culture, especially in the northwestern coastal regions of Java, whose heyday in the first Christian millennium was.

There have so far been located several sites, which is usually is deprived cemeteries. None of them has so far been systematically excavated. The pottery of the Buni culture resembles that of the Sa - Huynh - Kalany - style which is known from the South China Sea. There were shards with a roulette patterns that originate from India. This pottery shows embossed pattern with a cylinder. There were also monochrome glass beads, which were probably imported from just there.
