Bunyodkor PFK

Bunyodkor Tashkent (Russian « Бунёдкор » Ташкент, Bunjodkor Tashkent) is a football club from the Uzbek capital Tashkent. The club currently plays in the top division of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek professional football league.

Club history

Bunyodkor, which translates as " creator " or " Creator " means in German, was founded on July 6, 2005 under the name " Neftgazmontaj - Quruvchi ". In the first season the team managed the direct promotion to the second division of the country. A year later, the club was promoted to the first division of Uzbekistan and came in his first season in second place. This led also to participate in the AFC Champions League 2008, in which the team failed to Adelaide United of Australia in the semifinals. In August 2008 the club was renamed to its present name. Previously, the club was PFC Kuruvchi ( Uzbek Quruvchi PFK ).

Caused a sensation in the club, as he gave the former world footballer Rivaldo committed in August 2008 and discussions with other footballers such as Samuel Eto'o, Andrés Iniesta, Cesc Fàbregas and Carles Puyol led. Shortly afterwards, the club undertook Zico as coach. However, he remained only until January 2009. At the end of the 2008 season was the first championship for the club. In addition, the team also won the national cup.

In June 2009, Bunyodkor Luiz Felipe Scolari committed as a coach. Scolari signed a contract for 18 months, as a coach, he remained but only until June 2010, his contract was canceled due to financial problems of the club. Scolari's successor took over Mirjalol Qosimov.

To professionalize the structures of the association, Thomas Brdarić was committed in December 2011.
