Bureau County, Illinois

The Bureau County is a county located in the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2010, the County had 34 978 inhabitants and a population density of 15.7 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Princeton.

Geography

History

The Bureau County was formed on February 28, 1837 from parts of the former Putnam County. It was named after the French fur traders Pierre de Bureau.
