Burghley Horse Trials

The Burghley Horse Trials are taking place every year, three day eventing competition. They are held at Burghley House near Stamford in the English county of Lincolnshire. There is both a competition between the second-highest level CCI *** and CCI **** of the highest level.

The competition is expected from the World Equestrian Association FEI to the world's six most important occasions ( the others are the Badminton Horse Trials, the Rolex Kentucky Three Day, the Australian International Three Day Event, the Luhmühlen versatility and the Stars de Pau). The three most traditional competitions this stage ( Badminton, Burghley, Kentucky) are collectively known as the "Grand Slam of Eventing riding " means.

The prize money for winning the four-star competition is £ 40,000, prizes are awarded to 12th place. From the results of the five CCI **** events on the northern hemisphere there is in addition, since 2008, a body set up by the FEI Appreciation (HSBC FEI Classics ™ ); the five top-ranked of these rankings will receive prize money of 333,000 U.S. $.
