Burgholzhausen is a district of the city Eckartsberga in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt.

Geography

Burgholzhausen located between Weimar and Halle ( Saale). The district includes the town on the eastern edge of the Thuringian Basin, which extends between Finn and Etter Mountain is about to Eckartsberga. The national road 210 connects Burgholzhausen with Eckartsberga, the federal highway 87 and the surrounding area. Burgholzhausen belonged to the district of Lower Holzhausen.

History

For the first time the village on January 27, 993 as Holzhuson in a charter of King Otto III. mentioned.

On 1 July 2009 Burgholzhausen was incorporated into Eckartsberga. The last honorary mayor was elected in 1994, Ellen Oberlander.

Traffic

To the east of the district runs the federal highway 87, which runs from Apolda to Naumburg ( Saale).
