Burleson is a city in Johnson County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States. The city is one of the percentage of the fastest growing cities in the United States.

Geography

The city is located in the central northeast Texas, both in Johnson County and in Tarrant County and has access to the Interstate 35W, the Highways 81 and 174 and Highway 731 and 3391st connection to the railroad is with the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad and the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad given. History

The history of the city began with the railroad, as the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad here their tracks between Fort Worth and Hillsboro and moved to the site of the present city in 1881, a supply depot einrichtete. The average household size was 2.74 and the average family size amounted to 3.11.

29.1% of the population were under 18 years old, 7.8 % from 18 to 24, 31.9% 25-44, 21.1% from 45 to 64, and 10.1 % who were 65 years or older. The average age was 34 years. For every 100 females of all ages were 94.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, 89.0 males.

The median income for a household was $ 50,432, and the median income for a family $ 56,031. Males have a median income of $ 40,567 versus $ 27,032 for females. The per capita income was $ 20,175. 6.0% of the population and 4.9 % of families are below the poverty line. Of which 6.5 % have children under the age of 18 and 9.6 % of those 65 or older.
