Burnhaupt-le-Bas

Burn -le -Bas ( German Lower Burn Main) is a commune with 1827 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Thann, to Canton Cernay and community association Vallée de la Doller et Soultzbach.

Geography

The municipality Burn -le -Bas is located about 15 kilometers south-west from Mulhouse, near the Burgundian Gate. The community is a major transportation hub in the south of Alsace. This is where the A 36 (Mulhouse - Besançon), the two-lane -developed D 83 ( Colmar ) and some highways to each other. On the territory of the municipality is the motorway service station Porte d'Alsace.

Neighboring communities of burn -le -Bas are Schweighouse -Thann in the north, home Brunn in the east, Bernwiller the southeast, Ammerzwiller in the south, Gildwiller the southwest, Soppe -le- Bas in the west and Burn -le -Haut in the northwest.
