Buscando a Miguel ( engl. The search for Miguel) is a Colombian film. It was created in 2007 under the direction of Juan Fisher. The film is based on a true story and shows the tragicomic style the various facets of Colombian society. The premiere took place on 17 August 2007.

Action

Miguel is an ambitious young Colombian politician who is in the midst of a brilliant career paths. He sees the world only from the perspective of the privileged upper class and is blind to the social ills in his country. When Miguel flirting in a bar with a pretty woman him an anesthetic is administered to rob him. It is then attacked by a gang of youths and robbed of his clothes. Naked, he wanders in search of help. From two nuns he receives a poncho gives him only to the navel. Organ dealer beat down Miguel and bring him to the coroner's office, where he regains consciousness and escapes. Miguel has no memories of the past and no evidence of his identity. A transvestite takes him home. Here Miguel spends a few days later he is living with a homeless man on the street, from whom he learns to survive. Over time, return scraps of memory, but Miguel can not put together. Miguel's mother looks for him and offering a reward. His siblings want to declare him dead to get access to his property. The organ dealers kill a man and burn his body with Miguel's ring on his finger to collect the reward. The wrong corpse is buried under Miguel's name. When feeding the poor Miguel encounters his former lover Helen, who he left when she was pregnant. She knows his identity, but calls him only by his first name. Miguel's mother finds her son in a homeless shelter and takes him and his new boyfriend home. In the end Miguel organized a feast for the homeless.
