Business operations

Operational doctrine is to teach a term for so-called sectors ( normal) or institutional theories such as:

  • Bank Management and Banking ( BWl )
  • Library management science
  • Forest management science
  • Business Administration of Cooperatives
  • Economics of health establishments or hospital management
  • Study of commerce
  • Industrial Management
  • Media management science and media management
  • Traffic operation teaching
  • Insurance Management

They are seen as particular or special Business Administration ( BWL ) of industries.

From the general business studies they differ esp. in the derivation of the general operational factors of production human labor, resources and capital on its own, specific elemental factors and (following them) a strong weighting of specific topics, v. a so-called constitutive decisions ( eg, location, organization, choice of legal form ), as well as product and customer- specific issues that are important only for their own industry and in turn affect the constitutive decision.

Compared to institutional economics different perspectives provide the operational function teachings. They deal with the functional areas such as human resources, marketing, logistics and across industries.

In the operation teaching is again analyzed and the importance of the quality of the individual functions for their own industry or which functions are needed at all.

Some industries sometimes have special requirements so that their own scientific disciplines such as tourism have formed (in the sense of Tourism Business Administration ).

At universities and colleges in both the industries and the functions to be considered in the advanced study of business administration, so that specializations such as "Logistics in Retail" or "Marketing in the banking system " are possible.

Outside the universities provides in Germany especially the German Industry and Commerce for the operational doctrine related to Aus-/Fortbildung Fachwirt or functionally related to the teaching Fachkaufmann.
