Business simulation

As a business simulation, a simplified and usually taking place by means of computer simulation economic and business management processes is called.

Business simulations are an important field of research in the field of business administration and economics. They are used for training purposes, but also for prognostication in operational planning. In this case, the simulations are aimed to create a realistic image possible, which is simplified to only justified points. A training simulation, however, must be relevant only with respect to the training objective.

Well known are business simulations as computer games with predominant entertainment character. These engage economic relationships back as a supporting element of the game idea, but are greatly simplified, and imbued with fantastic elements. They are therefore only partly for educational purposes.
