In the economic sense one thinks about the segmentation of customer requirements and external requirements or determining the process variant that is most appropriate in a given situation to solve the problem.

The triage concept aims to optimize and accelerate business processes by assigning particular requirement classes to further specialized business processes. It can thus be distinguished, for example, in the credit application processing in a bank between simple, average and difficult cases.
