Bussho Gonenkai Kyōdan

Bussho Gonenkai KYODAN (Japanese佛所 护 念 会 教 団) is a neo-Buddhist movement. It was founded on 30 October 1950 by Kaichi Sekiguchi and his wife Tomino Sekiguchi Japan. It emerged from the religious community Reiyūkai ( Society of Friends of the spirits ) of Nichiren Buddhism.

In the center of their faith, the Lotus Sutra stands. Her third and current President is Noritaka Sekiguchi, son of the founder couple.

The membership numbers vary according to source. Members figures are based in part on self- giving of the community. Older data indicate that the Community is one of 1,354,662 members. Susumu Shimazono indicates the number 2,196,813 for the year 1990.
