Bussum

( Listen? / I ) Bussum is a municipality in the province of North Holland, the Netherlands, with 32 637 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). It was first documented in 1306.

Bussum is situated directly north of Hilversum in the forested region "Het Gooi ". It has two small stations on the line Amsterdam - Amersfoort. Until recently, in Bussum, which ( like Hilversum ) before 1874, when the railway was opened to Amsterdam, a poor farming village was a large cocoa factory and parts of the Dutch television studios sedentary.

As the neighboring Hilversum, Bussum has one of PJH Cuypers designed St. Vitus Church (1894 ).

Bussum is a typical commuter village. In the surroundings you can make beautiful walks in the woods and heath.
