Butrint Vishaj

Butrint Vishaj ( born July 9, 1987 in Vienna) is an Austrian football player, who also owns the Albanian passport and comes from Kosovo. The two-footed midfielder is currently in Albania at KS Skënderbeu Korçë under contract.

Career

Vishaj, who grew up in Austria, began his career as a seven year old in the offspring of unterklassigen SV Gruenbach in Lower Austria. Because of his talent, he moved in 2000 to the federal youth development center Mödling.

In 2004 he was included in the squad for the first team of FC Admira Wacker Mödling. On 11 May 2005 he gave after he came off the bench in 46 minutes for Oliver Lederer, in the 0:1 home defeat of FC Admira Wacker Mödling against SV Mattersburg, his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga. On 22 April 2006 the SV Mattersburg he scored his first championship matches at the 2:3 defeat of VfB Admira Wacker Mödling.

After the descent of the Admiralty in the Regional League East Vishaj moved to SC Swan City in the First League.

In the summer of 2008 Vishaj moved to SC Rheindorf Altach in the Austrian Bundesliga, where he was employed in eleven games. Vishaj remained even after the descent of Vorarlberg in the First League with the club. In 2010 he joined the Albanian club KF Skënderbeu Korçë, with which he won in 2011, the Albanian Cup.

International Vishaj played for various Austrian junior national teams. He was at the U- 19 Football Championship 2006 in Poland for Austria in the squad. Austria came to the semifinals, where the team suffered a 0-5 defeat to eventual winners Spain.
