Butz Peters

Butz Peters ( born January 22, 1958 in Hannover ) is a German lawyer and journalist.

Life

Butz Peters studied law with a minor in journalism at the Universities of Hannover, Göttingen, Lausanne and Vienna. This was followed in 1984 as a trainee at Norddeutscher Rundfunk training as a radio and television journalist. After the stations for different departments in the public TV and radio, preferably where he dealt with the issues of crime and media law, in 1993 he became managing director and chief editor of the private radio station " antenna Saxony ".

Since 1996 he is member of a large media firm. He mainly deals with the topics of media law and labor law. From 1997 to 2001 he acted as moderator of the ZDF program file number XY ... unresolved by Eduard Zimmermann. In 1988 he received the Journalist Award of the Standing Conference of the Ministers and Senators for the best radio presentation on " Prevention of crime ". In 1991 he was awarded the Nick - Knatterton Honor cap of the Federal German Police for outstanding commitment in the field of crime prevention and control.

Through his books about the Red Army Faction Peters owned jointly with Pieter Bakker Schut and Stefan Aust 's most widely read authors on the subject of left-wing terrorist violence in Germany.
