Buvik

Buvik is a former commune (municipality ) and town in the Norwegian Central Administrative District (county ) Sør -Trøndelag in Norway. She was originally to 1855 a part of Byneset and since 1965 a part of Skaun. The administrative center befandet located in the village Buvika. The former municipality Buvik comprised mainly the north-eastern part of today's Skaun. Buvik covered the area and the setting by the river Vigda, south of Gaulosen Fjord.

History

The municipality was founded in 1855, from part of the old municipality Byneset by a cleavage and Buvik at the time had a population of 841 inhabitants originally. On January 1, 1964 a small part of the municipality Buvik was incorporated together with Langørgen a landscape with only 11 inhabitants, together with the neighboring municipality to the municipality Melhus. On 1 January 1965, the rest of the municipality with 1267 inhabitants Buvik was placed with the places Børsa and Skaun together, so as to form the new larger municipality Skaun.
