Buxach (Iller)

The Buxach in Buxach.

The Buxach is an orographic right tributary of the River Iller, and about 15.6 km long. It rises southeast of the community Kronburg near the wasteland hot Schwende. The Buxach is rarely straightened only in parts of Hart and the village Buxach and can develop most freely on their way north. The water quality meets the grades I to II The river bank surrounded forest and village edges and meadows. The creek flows west of Buxheim on Illerstadion in the Iller. Previously fed the Buxach the Memminger Stadtweiher, which was released in 1900. Especially in hard and Buxach the river was used industrially. So it was in a hard run by the Buxach copper hammer, in Buxach several mills and copper hammers. East of Kronburg an oil mill was operated.
