Buyan

In Slavic mythology, Buyan ( Буян ) a mysterious island in the ocean, which appears and disappears at will. It is of three brothers - North Wind, West Wind and East Wind - inhabited. Strange things happen on this island. Koschtschei the death Lose preserved here his soul in a needle.

Buyan is partially, presumably Rügen interpreted as proto- Indo-European Otherworld and partly as the Slavic name of an actual island.
