Buzzing tree frog

Litoria electrica ( English name: " Buzzing Treefrog ", " Electric Treefrog ") is a Froschlurch from the genus of Australian tree frogs ( Litoria ). His name electrica he received because of his Balzrufes, reminiscent of the sound of a high-voltage arc. He was discovered and described in 1990.

Features

Litoria electrica reached a size 35-38 mm. He has a yellow-brown back with three dark spots. These spots can be butterfly or v -shaped sometimes. The backs of the legs show black and yellow spots. His toes are connected by a half- webbed. Between the fingers webbed is only slightly trained. The finger and toe pads are visible.

Occurrence and habitat

Litoria electrica inhabits different habitats, including swamps and buildings. It is native to the central region and in northwestern Queensland.
