The long journey of Lukas B. is a television series. It is in series with an adaptation of the children's book The Long Walk of Luke B. Willi ferryman, which was broadcast in 1992 on ZDF as a Christmas series.

Content

The Bien 's is a carpenter saga. However, in the environment of their small village in East Prussia there at the end of the 19th century not enough work, to feed them and the families of their employees. So Luke's grandfather decides to go with his team for a few years to America to earn the big money there.

As observed Lukas Otto von Lebrecht case of murder, and his father is falsely accused of this murder, Lukas decides to go to America.

America seems to be the village teacher, a revolutionary, salvation from the Prussian judiciary. He accompanied the carpenter team. As a stowaway still Mathilde Bien man joins which will is in love with the teacher.
