Byambasuren Sharav

Bjambasürengiin Scharaw (Mongolian Бямбасүрэнгийн Шарав, born November 13, 1952 Sum, Dschargaltchaan ) is a Mongolian composer.

Scharaw learned as a child from his father the game of Morin chuur and also played the accordion. As a music teacher at an elementary school, he began to compose children's songs. From 1975 he studied at the Conservatory in Sverdlovsk in the Soviet Union.

In addition to 200 songs composed Sharav more than twenty film scores, eight concerts for Mongolian folk instruments, four ballets and three symphonies. As a work commissioned for Yo - Yo Ma Silkroad Ensemble was established in 2000, the Legend of Heerlen.
