Bychaw Raion
The Rajon Bychau (White Russian Быхаўскі раён; Russian Быховский район ) is an administrative unit in the Mahiljouskaja Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the city Bychau. The Rajon has an area of 2300 km ².
Geography
The Rajon Bychau located south of the Mahiljouskaja Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone in Mahiljouskaja Woblasz are in the north of Mogilev, in the northeast Tschawussy, in the east Slauharad, to the west and northwest Kirau Klitschau. In the south, the boundary runs to Rajon Rahatschou in Homelskaja Woblasz.
The largest rivers are the Dnieper with its tributaries Uchljasz, Lachwa, Polna Babrouka, Makranka, Adamenka and Druz with the tributary Hresa.
History
The Rajon Bychau was formed on 17 July 1924.
