Byfield-Nationalpark

The Byfield National Park (English Byfield National Park ) is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland.

Location

It is located 60 kilometers southeast of Rockhampton on the Capricorn Coast. A small portion of the park is separated from the rest on the southern shore of Corio Bay.

Landforms

In the southern part of the park master huge, parabolic sand dunes the image. The oldest are already inland five to six kilometers. The northern part occupy the summit of The Peaks and Mount Atherton. The park is also famous for its long beaches.

Flora and Fauna

Coastal heathland is typical of this National Park. It is also found lights eucalyptus forest. There you can observe different species of migratory birds and other birds.

Facilities

The park has hiking trails. The beach can be busy at the marked points with four-wheel vehicles. Camping is permitted at three locations in the park.

Driveway

The national park is only accessible by a 41 km long street of Yeppoon from. The use of a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. In rainy weather, this road can be impassable. The beaches are also accessible by boat from the sea.
