The Byrd Township is one of 10 townships in Cape Girardeau County in the southeast of the U.S. state of Missouri.

Geography

The Byrd Township is located on the eastern slope of the Ozark plateau to the valley of the Mississippi River, which forms about 10 km further east, the border with Illinois.

The Byrd Township is located at 37 ° 23'28 " north latitude and 89 ° 40'02 " west longitude and extending over 162.23 km ².

The Byrd Township borders within the Cape Girardeau County in the north to the Apple Creek Township, in the northeast on the Shawnee Township, on the east by the Randol Township, to the southeast by the Cape Girardeau Township, on the south by the Hubble Township, to the southwest by the Children Township and to the northwest by the Whitewater Township.

Traffic
