Byxelkrok

Byxelkrok is a locality ( småort ) on the Swedish Baltic island of Öland. The in- place north of the island belongs to the municipality Borgholm and is located on the Kalmar Strait, on the west coast of the island.

Byxelkrok is the regional center on the northern tip of Öland. Through the village, the road 136 leads from the village port for ferries to Oskarshamn on the Swedish mainland and the island of Blue Maiden. East of Byxelkrok is the village of Torp.

In addition to the fishing industry Byxelkrok with several catering establishments and retail in the summer season, a local center of tourism.

In the village is the church of Byxelkrok. North of the local situation is the burial ground of Byxelkrok, upstanding limestone Hoga Flisa and the nature reserve Neptuni Akrar. The territories east of the village belong to the Ecopark Boda.
