C. J. Sansom

Christopher John Sansom ( b. 1952 ) is a British writer.

Life

Born and raised in Edinburgh, the only child of a Presbyterian family Sansom studied history at the University of Birmingham and a doctorate on the South Africa policy of the Labour Party. After working for a time in various occupations, he oriented himself professionally around and became a lawyer. , Until he limited himself to writing.

He became known by the Matthew Shardlake series, a series of novels featuring the hunchback lawyer Matthew Shardlake in England during the reign of Henry VIII, who goes to the first two novels in order Thomas Cromwell on dangerous political mission.

Sansom lives in Brighton.
