C. W. Nicol

Clive Williams Nicol ( b. 1940 in Wales, United Kingdom ) is a Welsh- Japanese writer.

Nicol participated in 15 Arctic expeditions and spent two years in Ethiopia. He also worked for the Canadian government on Japanese whaling ships as an inspector.

He has now acquired the Japanese nationality and lives in Japan. His interest in Japanese culture, especially the martial art Karate. The age of 15 he started to learn Judo. He is also very active for nature conservation.
