C.F. Estrela da Amadora

The CF Estrela da Amadora is a football club from the Portuguese city of Amadora, near Lisbon. It was founded on 1 January 1932.

The team of CF Estrela Amadora played in the 2007/ 08 season in the Portuguese Superliga, the first division of the country. Because of financial problems, the club participation was prohibited on professional football the following season. Amadora had relegated in the II Divisão ( the third highest league). Belenenses Lisbon was why, despite sporting descent, keeping the class.

The greatest success of the club in 1990 was winning the Taça de Portugal.

Their home ground is called Estádio José Gomes and offers 12,630 spectators.
