C.F. Os Unidos

The CF Os Unidos ( officially: Clube de Futebol Os Unidos ) is a football club which is now successful in Pontinha, a city edge community of the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

History

The club was founded in 1940. His sporting achievements are particularly during the first years of its existence. From 1940 to 1943, he was three times in a row to qualify for the Primeira Divisão and finished the season 1942/43, in fourth place from. In the same period one stood twice in the semi-finals and once in the quarter-finals of the Taça de Portugal. 1943/44, succeeded once again in the Cup qualification for the knockout stages. This would result from cross-regional sporting success for over thirty years.

Only in 1978, 1981 and 1988, the club took part again in the Taça de Portugal, but dropped out each morning. Currently the association has only junior teams.
