C.S.D. Villa Española

Club Social y Deportivo Villa Española Villa Española short (nicknamed El villa), is a football and boxing club from Montevideo in Uruguay. In the 2013/14 season, the club plays in the Segunda División amateur.

History

The club was founded on 18 August 1940. Due to the insolvency of the Association no play operation under the UP took place in the meantime.

Achievements

The football team of the club played in the 2007/ 08 season in the second highest Uruguayan league, Segunda División Profesional de Uruguay. There they sat down in the playoff for promotion against Tanque Sisley by. However, in the Primera División could then in the 2008 /09 season due to the mentioned financial problems not compete. Back in 2001 you could win the championship title in the Segunda División.
