Cabalian Volcano

The Cabalian is 945 meters above sea level, towering stratovolcano on the island of Leyte in the Philippines.

The mountain lies on a peninsula at the southeastern end of the island of Leyte and is covered with dense vegetation. Its located on 945 meters crater fills a lake. His rock is classified as andesite. Its shape is described as very rugged and it has two smaller peaks on its southern flank.

There are hot springs at its eastern and western flank. A geothermal power plant is to use these hot springs, it should have an output of up to 150 MW and go to the network in 2015.
