Cabo de Santa Maria (Faro)

The Cabo de Santa Maria ( Portuguese for Cape Santa Maria) on the small island of Ilha da Barretta forms the southernmost point of continental Portugal.

The Ilha da Barretta is in the nature reserve Parque Natural da Ria Formosa and belongs to the administrative area of ​​the city of Faro, capital of Algarve. The Cabo de Santa Maria forms the westernmost point of the Gulf of Cádiz.
