History

As six other stations, Cabo Ruivo belongs to the Linha Vermelha opened in 1998, which was built for the in today's Parque das Naçoes held Expo 1998. While the line itself its operations resumed three days before the opening of the World Expo ( May 19, 1998), the Cabo Ruivo station due to Erdabsenkungen was only on 18 July that year in operation.

The design of the station took an architectural college to Duarte Nuno Simões, Nuno Simões, João D. Santa Rita and João P. Santa Rita. They designed a relatively empty train station with the usual two 105 -meter-long side platforms. Additions are located in both the western and the eastern end of the platform, where the east are also the three lifts. The artistic design took over David de Almeida, who has always dealt with pre- historical motifs since the beginning of his artistic career. He also designed for this station different designs in the style of cave paintings, the white can be seen on black background track walls. However, the platform walls themselves are in a sober blue.
