Cabrales cheese

The Queso de Cabrales is a semi-soft cheese with blue mold. When mixed cheese, it consists of cow 's, goat's and sheep's milk. It is stored for aging in the caves around Cabrales and gained there, the individual noble mold cultures. The caves have different mold cultures and give the queso de Cabrales, therefore, various flavor nuances.

Annually in August in Las Arenas in Cabrales a hard place, the Certamen del Queso Cabrales. Here, the best cheese in the surrounding villages will be chosen. In Germany one rarely gets the cheese.
