CAC Ceres

The Commonwealth CA -28 Ceres is an agricultural aircraft, manufactured in Australia by Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC ).

History

Since the Second World War, sufficient components of the Wirraway were available, CAC designed the similar structured agricultural aircraft CA -28 Ceres, which flew in February 1958 for the first time. In the embodiment as a spraying Ceres was a single seater, but for the transport of crew members could be installed behind the pilot a rear facing passenger seat. The coated with fiberglass stainless steel tank between the engine and the cockpit took 1.13 m³, and hand-powered slotted flaps were folded during spraying halfway down. The last of 21 Ceres flew in July 1963; the type was used in Australia and New Zealand.
