Cafú (footballer born 1977)

Arlindo Gomez Semedo called Cafu ( born November 17, 1977 in Lisbon ) is a Cape Verde football player with a Portuguese passport.

Club career

Cafu began his career at the Portuguese Amateur club CF Amora. In 1999 he moved to Belenenses Lisbon, for whom he played until 2002. Then he changed to league rivals Boavista Porto, where he remained until the winter break of the season 2005/2006. In January 2006, he transferred to the 2nd Bundesliga to Sportfreunde Siegen, but could not prevent their relegation to end of season.

For the 2006/2007 season Cafu moved free transfer to SC Freiburg and was there until the winter break 2007/08, mostly as a substitute on 23 missions and only one hit. He then moved the end of January 2008 for the Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia.

National
