Cagayan State University

The Cagayan State University is located in the province of Cagayan in the Philippines. It is regarded as an important educational institution in the administrative region of Cagayan Valley. The university is divided into eight locations in the communities Tuguegarao City, Aparri, Gonzaga, Lal -lo, Lasam, Piat and in Sanchez - Mira. The headquarters of the University is located on the Andrews campus, Barangay Caritan in Tuguegarao City. 2011 31.890 students enrolled at the university in a second semester.

Faculties

The Cagayan State University is home to fifteen different faculties, these are divided into high school and technical college areas, as well as vocational education in colleges. These include the Colleges of Agriculture, Allied Health Sciences, Arts & Sciences, Business Entrepreneurship & Accountancy, Hospitality & Industry Management, Information & Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Fisheries, Law, Medicine & Surgery, Public Administration, Technology and Veterinary Medicine. The university includes 50 buildings.

History

The university was founded on 11 June 1978 by the combination of the state educational institutions of the Cagayan Valley College of Arts & Trades in Tuguegarao and the Northern Luzon State College of Agriculture in Piat. Later in the year, the smaller state educational institutions were integrated by the integration into the state university program in the university. This was the Aparri Institute of Technology, Bukig National Agricultural and Technical School, Aparri School of Arts and Trades, Cagayan Valley Agricultural College, Sanchez Mira Rural Vocational School, Western Cagayan School of Arts and Trades and the Gonzaga National Agricultural and Technical School.
