Caguas is a city in Puerto Rico, it is also known as " La Ciudad del Turabo " ( Turabo city), " La Ciudad Criolla " (City of Criolen ) and " El Corazón de Boriquén " ( The heart Boriquéns ).
History
Caguas was founded in January 1775 and was at that time San Sebastián del Piñal de Caguax.
Location
In Caguas rivers Cagüitas, Turabo, Bairoa, Cañas, Grande de Loíza and Cañabonsito flow. The place is located in the eastern center of the island, about 40 km south of the capital San Juan and 40 km north of the port city of Guayama.
