Caissargues
Caissargues is a commune with 3759 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Gard of the Languedoc -Roussillon region.
Geography
Caissargues is located five kilometers south-east of Nîmes in the valley of Vistre.
History
1904 Caissargues became a separate parish. Previously, it belonged to the community Bouillargues.
During the construction of the A54 remains were discovered from prehistoric times. Later, the area was settled by the Romans and the Visigoths. The community experienced thanks to the emergence of two industrial areas in the years 1988 and 1995 an economic boom.
