Caixabank

CaixaBank, S. A. (formerly Criteria CaixaCorp ) is a Spanish investment company based in Barcelona. It is under the control of the savings bank " la Caixa". It is headed by Ricard Fornesa i Ribó.

Criteria CaixaCorp is involved in some of Spain's largest companies, including at Gas Natural, Repsol YPF, Telefónica and Abertis.

Criteria in 2009, increased its equity stake in Austria's second largest bank, Erste Group from 5 to 10 %.

As Criteria CaixaCorp was brought to the public in 2007, this was the largest IPO of the Spanish economic history. In January 2008, Criteria CaixaCorp was included in the IBEX 35, the index of the 35 most important Spanish companies.

In August 2012, the Banca Civica has been adopted. The end of 2012, the company acquired the bank Banco de Valencia.
